Fun Fur Rugs

Make these with a size 15 crochet hook, and 5-6 (depending on yarn thickness) strands held together. Use one or two strands of fun fur in the mix. The result is a shaggy and soft, thick and heavy rug that won’t slip on your hardwood, laminate, or tile floors.

Shades of red, pink, orange, and a bit of yellow. Some of the red yarn had little sequins in it – little light-catchers! You can’t feel the sequins because the rug is shaggy and thick. I’m keeping this one. The others will likely be gifts 🙂

These crochet rugs are easy to make and they are a great way to use the little bits of yarn leftover from other projects. Adding textured, fancy yarn bumps the whole thing up a notch. I used a combination of worsted, fingering, bulky, eyelash, and fun fur yarns to make these.

The pictures don’t do justice to the details of these rugs. This one is blue, purple, green, and black. Some of the black yarn had metallic thread running through it, so there are tiny sparkles running through.
